Concrete

Manos is designed and fabricated by Concreteworks Studio, a full-service team specializing in custom cast concrete solutions across a range of scales and applications. Combining over 30 years of experience with the most innovative technology in the industry, we design and produce sculptural, artisanal pieces that emphasize the value of craftsmanship with a material-forward approach.

We are constantly challenged to learn and innovate with concrete and how it is used in our built environment. Each project adds new knowledge to our expertise.

THE PROCESS

We are advocates of letting concrete be concrete. We embrace the subtle variations in tone, texture, and porosity that emerge through our hands-on process. These organic details aren’t flaws—they’re signatures. They give each Manos piece a distinct sense of personality, place, and permanence.

Our material-forward approach means we begin with respect for the raw material itself. Working with custom GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete) mixes and hand-finishing each piece in our California studio, we control every stage of the making process. From casting to curing, our focus is on precision, longevity, and sculptural form.

We don’t chase perfection—we shape character. This philosophy informs every planter, table, fire feature, and bath element we create. Each piece reflects our belief that concrete is not just a construction material, but a medium for lasting design.
